Round badge, metal with enamel. Text in gold around the red border reads, "SOUTH MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB", with a small crossed bats and ball logo, and further text in gold on the white inner circle, "SMCC / 1946- 47". A small loop is on the top. Embossed on the reverse, "8".
