Brief Description
A copy of the publication entitled AUSTRALIA's TEAM XIX OLYMPIC GAMES MEXICO 68. The front cover features a brown kangaroo and multi-coloured Olympic Rings. The booklet provides brief biographical details on each athlete in the Australian Team (including Maureen Caird, p.32); a schedule of events; maps; and information on past Australian winners. On the last page there are handwritten notes, in blue ink, on Caird's qualifying races, and Mexico Olympic heat, semi-final and final times. Caird won the gold medal in the final of the 80 metres Hurdle and equalled the World Record time of 10.3 seconds.
