Brief Description
A foldout pictorial map of the city of Moscow, indicating the locations of sporting venues featuring events for the 1956 Spartakiad. Spartakiad was a preliminary Games for individual sporting events, held in the U.S.S.R. during the summer before the next Olympic Games. The cover features an illustration of the city of Moscow and its Central Stadium District. Along the left side is a hoisted red flag featuring the Spartakiad emblem. The inscription in the scroll at the lower right, reads: SPORTIVNAYA/MOSKVA.
