Brief Description
Silver coloured pin badge, oval shape with a seated man reading a scroll, books on the ground beside him, a column on the left behind him and Latin in a scroll beneath him, within the oval and "SCOTCH COLLEGE MELBOURNE" around the circumference.

The badge clearly is NOT from the 1890s, because the motto “Deo Patriae Litteris” was not adopted until 1914. Until then it was “Deo et Litteris”.
