Book; 53pp + cover; (with introductory notes and appendices), with a textured grey cover, entitled: METEOROLOGICAL SUMMARY / COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA / BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY / WEATHER / AND THE / OLYMPIC GAMES / BERLIN - 1936 / LONDON - 1948 / HELSINKI - 1952 / MELBOURNE - 1956 (partially obscured due to surface loss). Contents contain reports and graphs demonstrating the effects of climate on athletes during previous Olympic Games, and coupled with meteorological data recording past Melbourne weather, it provides a reasonable forecast for weather during the Melbourne Games, with athlete comfort a priority consideration.
