Brief Description
Admission ticket, numbered 4303, to the boxing events at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. Features a blue and white, oval/track-shaped emblem of the Olympics, a gold band across the centre of the ticket/card, and printed text which reads, in part, "XVI OLYMPIAD, MELBOURNE, 1956 / Main Stadium (M.C.G.) / 22 November - 8 December, 1956 / GREY SMITH STAND". The card was issued to Mr L.T. Harley, name handwritten in ink. The reverse features a gold Olympic torch and rings on a blue and white, zig-zag patterned background. Ticket has been snipped on the bottom edge to indicate that it was used.
