Cricket bat used by RA Duff in 1904-05. Long inscription written on front of bat. Initials "R.A.D." on back of bat. Handwritten inscription, '14/11/06 / I have much pleasure/ in informing you that/I used this bat throu/ - ghout the Australian/summer of 1904/5 +/also during the/tour of W Australian [sic] /+ thru New Zealand/I have no hesitation/is saying it is the/best I ever used/+ I am resolved in/future to use no/other than your/Crawford patent/Exceller Bats/yours sinc/R.A.Duff'.
