Brief Description
Cricket bat used by G.H. Trott in 1895-96. Long inscription written on back of bat. The hand written inscription reads 'I am sending you / a Crawford Exceller Bat/ that I have used all/ through the Australian/ Season 1895-1896 + / throughout the/ English tour of the/ Australian XI of 1896 [?] / and also up to the/ present 1/2/97 season/ of 1897 in Australia/ without a doubt it is/ the best bat I have/ ever used/ yours faithfully/ G.H.S Trott'.
