Brief Description
Red leather cricket ball used by Arthur Theodore Wallace Grout in 1957. The ball is mounted on a round wooden plinth with metal plaque on front. Inscription on plaque reads "Presented to W. Grout by the Transvaal Cricket Union for establishing a world test record by catching the following six players in one innings in his first test match played at the Wanderers Ground, Johannesburg 23rd-28th December 1957. Between Australia and South Africa T.Goddard. J.Nel. J.Waite. H.Tayfield. R.McLean. P.Heine". The ball has been signed by the players.
