Brief Description
Undated, small, circular gold medal featuring the Olympic rings cast in relief in a gently shallow surface. The reverse features inscribed Olympic rings with text above -'CITIUS ALTIUS FORTIUS' - and below with 'Presented to/ HUGH WEIR', followed by the inscribed signature 'Avery Brundage' (President of the International Committee, 1952-1972). Hugh Weir was a senior IOC member for Australia.
