Brief Description
1976 Montreal Olympic Games relay torch. Aluminium relay torch, with a long red cylindrical handle with 1976 Montreal Olympics logo, in white. Wider black cylindrical torch head with slightly tapered top with nine small holes in 16 vertical rows (144 holes). Torch was designed by Georges Huel and Michel Daillaire, and was intended to reproduce the functionality and simplicity of ancient Greek torches.
