Brief Description
Bronze rectangular plaque issued by the International Amateur Athletic Federation to John Landy in 1954. The plaque is heavy and has a wreath of laurels on one side and on the reverse a winged female standing on a globe of the world and holding a laurel wreath above her head. Inscriptions include "WORLDS RECORDS HOLDER / ONE MILE / 3M. 41. 8S. / TURKU. FINLAND. 21.6.1954".
