Brief Description
White air-mail envelope with vertical blue band on far left and upright olympic torch with orange and yellow flame blown to left. 5 olympic rings in blue, black, red, yellow and green mid way down torch handle. Between torch head and rings in blue "OLYMPIC TORCH FLIGHT" on right. "ATHENS TO AUSTRALIA" on left. Qantas red and white logo at lower right of torch. Red and blue Greek postage stamps in upper right . Postmarks confirm the envelope originated from Olympia, Greece, and that it was processed on 02 November, 1956. Address on front of envelope is typed in black ink. Back of envelope has additional postmark, advertising the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games.
