Brief Description
A yellow envelope, used to house a card and its contents (.6), presented by the American Associated Press staff to Philippa Cavanagh, who was a Melbourne to San Francisco telephone operator for the A.A.P., based at the M.C.G., during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Handwritten inscription reads: 'SOUVENIRS OF OLYMPIC GAMES 1956./LA[ ]S TRANSMITTED HIGH SPEED TO SAN FRANCISCO, PLUS/STAMPS, BADGES + SIGNATURES OF A.A.P. CORRESPONDENTS.'
