Wooden plaque with metal plate engraved and embossed with the inscription, "AWARD FOR CONTEMPORARY ACHIEVEMENT". An emblem moulded to the plate features a map of the world and inscription "DICTIONARY OF INTERNATIONAL BIOGRAPHY".
