Brief Description
First day cover; white commemorative envelope featuring a blue illustration with the five events of the modern pentathlon. The inscription is in German; below: "XXVII. / WELTMEISTERSCHAFT / MODERNER FUNFKAMPF / WARENDORF / 3. - 6. AUGUST 1983". To the right are two circular stamps in black ink, bearing text, two male athletes, and the date 12 April 1983. A stamp is adhered to the upper right corner, also featuring images of the Modern Pentathlon.
