Brief Description
Green, shield-shaped felt badge from a blazer pocket. The badge is embroidered with the Australian coat-of-arms and lettering that reads 'BRITISH EMPIRE GAMES/ SYDNEY/1938'. Doris Carter represented Australia in the Women's High Jump at the Games and was placed 5th with a jump of 5'1" (1.55m). Two years earlier she also placed 5th at the Berlin Olympics.
