Brief Description
A white vinyl bound prospectus contained in a white card slip case. Both feature across the front an impression of the City of Melbourne Coat-Of-Arms - printed in gold on the book cover, and embossed on the case cover. Inscription below the Arms, printed on the book cover reads: CITY OF MELBOURNE/THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH GAMES OF 1974. The prospectus basically features text, supported by black and white photo images, and maps, conveying the benefits of holding the 1974 B.C. Games at the city of Melbourne. A letter, contained within the prospectus, is addressed to South Australian Olympic Council President, Tom Wigley, by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Edward Best, which asks for Wigley's support for the Bid.
