Brief Description
An 'oblong' bronze commemorative medal presented to Australian Team Member, Les Harley, boxer, at the British Empire Games in Sydney. The medal features 7 shields bearing sporting scenes, an image of the Sydney Harbour and Harbour Bridge, and text stamped in relief, 'BRITISH/ EMPIRE/ GAMES/ of 1938/ SYDNEY/ AUSTRALIA'. The obverse features a stamped, raised image of Australia on circular background, and sprays of wattle.
