Brief Description
A boxed set of 30 souvenir badges from the 8th National Games of the People's Republic of China held in Shanghai, October 12-24, 1997. All but one of the badges feature the Games mascot, a cartoon character, playing a different sport. The other badge features the Games emblem, a stadium with four red 'flames'. The presentation box is covered in black leather with a silver plaque and edging. Two badges are pinned to the velvet of the inner lid; the other badges are pinned to the fitted velvet mount.
