Gold medal won by Ivan Stedman for 1st place in a 440 Yards Breast Stroke swim on 22nd January, 1927. Obverse features floral detail surrounding coloured enamel shield bearing the badges of each Australian state. Text in legend reads "AUSTRALIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP". Reverse features inscription that reads "BREAST STROKE / 440 YDS / WON BY / IVAN STEDMAN / 22-1-1927". Suspension ring at top.
