Gold medal won by Ivan Stedman for first place in a 440 yards swim in 1920-21. Obverse features a mermaid with text in the legend that reads "VICTORIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION". Reverse inscription reads "440 yards / Championship / of Victoria / 1920-21 / Won By / I. STEDMAN. / M.S.C. / 6 min. 9 secs.". Decorative suspension ring at top.
