Brief Description
An 8-page (cover inclusive, unnumbered) programme for Cesta Punta events held at the Manila Jai Alai Fronton. Cesta Punta is a form of 'Pelote Vasca' (literally "Basque ball"), played in a 'Jai Alai fronton', which is a 54-metre long, three-walled court. The distinctive aspect of Cesta Punta is the use of a "chistera" or "cesta", a long basket woven from Basque reed wicker, attached to a glove. This item is depicted on the front cover of the programme. Inscription: 'JAI-ALAI/TONIGHT'S/PROGRAM/SATURDAY/NOVEMBER 16, 1968/MEETING NO. 6310/STARTING AT 5:15 P.M./GAMES EVERY EVENING/EXCEPT SUNDAYS/*THE ONLY FRONTON IN THE FAR EAST'.
