Brief Description
Lawn bowl, lignum vitae; restored and offered as presentation bowl, lacquered and with two decorative ivory discs at either end: "PRESENTED / TO / REV. W.G. Taylor / BY NICHOLSON ST / U.F. CHURCH / BOWLING CLUB / 1928" inscribed in larger disc; "1" inscribed in smaller. Maker's mark impressed into one end of bowl: "JAQUES & SON / LONDON / BIAS No. 3"; stamped impression on side: "SCOTTISH BOWLING ASSOCn" printed in a circle with outline of tree within.
