Brief Description
Postcard with an image of a steamship, signed by members of the Australian cricket team that toured England in 1953. The image is a side-on view of the ship, which is identified below as "ORIENT LINE R.M.S. ORCADES, 28,000 TONS". The postcard has been written to Mr & Mrs A W McDougall in Brunswick, Victoria. It has a stamp of George VI (d. 1952), and the postmark indicates that it was sent on 17th July 1953 from Paddington in London.
