Object Detail

Brief Description
Five 18c postage stamps and one 45c stamp, affixed onto a black strip, on a beige card backing, inside a sealed, cream coloured envelope with a large plastic window. Text on the backing reads, "TEST CRICKET / CENTENARY" above, and "1877-1977" below. The five 18c stamps form a panorama going from the wicketkeepers end to the bowler's end, depicting eight cricketers and two umpires. The 45c stamp on the right is separate, and shows a batsman front-on, waiting to hit the ball.
