Brief Description
Black and white photograph mounted on card. Shows group portrait of two lacrosse teams, one dressed in uniforms comprising a jumper with CANADA printed across the chest, white shorts and caps, the other wearing dark jumpers and white shorts. Some players are holding lacrosse sticks. 10 men are wearing suits and hats. They are positioned, seated and standing, in four rows in front of a brick building. A man in the second row is holding a child on his knee. The handwritten inscription, in pen on the reverse, reads 1907 AUST. V CANADA / 1ST TEST AT MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND / 27.7.1907 / AUST 5 DEFEATED CANADA 3 / BEFORE 16 000 SPECTATORS.
