Brief Description
Map, consisting of a large piece of paper folded in thirds, then six times, to fit inside a black board cover, affixed into the RH side. A booklet of contents, places, and London cab fares is affixed into the LH side. A sheet of paper stuck onto the cover features a small sketch of a city, with the large title above reading, "1889 / PHILIPS' MAP OF / LONDON". The subtitle reads, in part, "SHEWING ALL / RAILWAYS AND STATIONS, TRAMWAYS, & c.". A name has been stamped onto the cover with black ink, "J. Mc. C BLACKHAM".
