Brief Description
A circa 1998 reproduction of a 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games competitor's badge, made of gold-like metal with enamelled designs. The badge features the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games emblem, comprising of a flaming torch, planted in the location of Melbourne on a map of Australia. The olympic rings emblem is situated above the torch. The maroon oval border around the emblem features the text: 'XVITH OLYMPIAD/MELBOURNE 1956'. Attached to the base of the badge is a canary yellow ribbon.
