Badge of gold-coloured metal and orange, black and red enamel, shaped like the letter D. Gold Olympic torch with red flame forms vertical bar of D, with raised figure of athlete preparing for shot put in gold on orange background inside D. Curved part of D is black, with the Russian inscription: 1980 MOSKVA/IGRY XXII OLIMPIADY (trans. Moscow 1980. Games of the XXII Olympiad.)
