Brief Description
Diamond-shaped brass badge, sectioned into six smaller diamonds with different coloured enamel backgrounds. The top, and largest, diamond features the 1980 Moscow Olympics emblem flanked by the inscription: MOSKVA 1980. Five small diamonds of equal size feature along the lower two edges of the badge illustrating sports of the Modern Pentathlon.
From left to right: Epee (Fencing, blue background), 200 metre Freestyle (Swimming, yellow), Show Jumping (Equestrian, black), 3000 metre Cross Country (Running, green) and Pistol (Shooting, red). The latter is erroneously depicted as Shotgun Shooting.
