Brief Description
A large rectangular, gold-like enamelled badge, horizontally divided into four registers. The first register features the black enamelled Russian inscription: IGRY XXII/OLIMPIADY (trans. 'Games of the XXIInd Olympiad'), with the 1980 Games emblem to the left. The middle register features a sailing symbol upon a teal field. The third register comprises of five horizontal stripes making up the five Olympic colours, and the final register contains the raised gold inscription TALLIN upon a white field. The Baltic port city of Tallinn was the host for the 1980 Olympic Games sailing events.
