Brief Description
Eleven items associated with either the Heidelberg Golf Club or the Royal Melbourne Golf Club (RMGC). A gold A4 sized, landscape format booklet, white text on the cover reads "Heidelberg / Golf Club / 50th Year / 1928-1978" inside pages detail the evolution of the Heidelberg Golf Club; a colour magazine titled, "GOLF / IN VICTORIA / Vol. 19 No. 4 / May 1978" in the bottom LH corner of the front cover text reads "HEIDELBERG GOLF CLUB / 50 YEARS OF TRADITION 1928-1978"; a group of six scorecards, four of which are from the Heidelberg Golf Club, white card printed with blue and red text featuring the image of a man wearing a bow tie standing in front of a sign which reads "NEPTUNE" with an image of a king and a three pronged fork, text alongside the image reads "For NEIGHBOURLY / NEPTUNE / SERVICE... / SEE YOUR LOCAL / NEPTUNE DEALER / OR AGENT" below this advertisement is the score keeping chart and on the reverse an area to record the date, the club played and positions won by players, the two other scorecards fold out to show the score keeping area on the inside centre, on the front and reverse face of the folded card are the Local Rules and a score table, one is from the RMGC and the other is from the Heidelberg GC; An RMGC "LIST OF MEMBERS" booklet dated 1st May, 1964; a news clipping of a photograph of four men, three are observing while one man has just taken a shot; A coloured cardboard golf ball box, printed on a black and white background with green and orange on the lid are the words, "DUNLOP / Federal / GOLF BALLS / TOUGHNESS-ACCURACY-DISTANCE", the lid is hinged and opens to be held in a upright fashion by a linen tape running from the top of the base to the side of the lid on the LH side, the same words appear on the inside top of the box as those on the outside top.
