Brief Description
Group of tickets and invitations associated with the 1953 Davis Cup, including two Marquee passes for entry to the Marquee for refreshments at the conclusion of play each day, one addressed to O B Hughes and the other to Mrs O B Hughes, blue colour with black and white printed text, names of addressees are hand written; Four invitations to functions associated with the 1953 Davis Cup including; An invitation to a Buffet Dinner and Dance at The Dorchester for Monday December 28th 1953 addressed to Mr and Mrs O B Hughes; a Theatre Party at Her Majesty's Theatre, addressed to Mrs O B Hughes, a New Year's Eve party at the Hotel Australia and an official Dinner to mark the conclusion of the 1953 Davis Cup, addressed to Mr and Mrs O B Hughes. All three of these events were held on the evening of the 31st of December 1953.
