Brief Description
Black and white glossy photograph of the male and female members of the Victorian Amateur Swimming Association including Les Harley, Victorian swimmer and diver, and Australian Olympic boxer. Many of the men and women are wearing a dark blazer with white piping around the lapel and several blazers feature the badge of the association with the initials arranged on a large "V". The group are positioned in five rows on the steps of an impressive building. Seven men at the front are sitting or squatting on the ground and most women are wearing hats. Inscription along lower front edge, handscripted in white, "Reception to Interstate Amateur Swimmers Town Hall Sydney 7.2.34. Miss Joyce Cooper / England / (In Centre)"; handwritten in blue ink on reverse, "LES /HARLEY" ; LES / (BUSTER) / ANDERSON" ; " RITCHIE / SAUNDERS"; RON / MASTERS".
