Brief Description
A scrapbook with blue/green cloth covering over front and back, with red leather around the spine and cover corners. A worn and torn label adhered across the front cover reads: [B]IOGR[APHICAL]/ALBUM/SWIMMING. This label seems to show the remnants of a name and date, (i.e 'Mason' and '1929'), but there is some evidence that the label was covered by another, hence it's purpose may have changed. The contents of the album are almost exclusively of Water Polo, with some Diving, and focuses on the achievements of the Melbourne Swimming Club divers and the Victorian State water polo team from the 1930's. Many international divers also feature in the album.
