Brief Description
Gold medal won by Frank Beaurepaire for 1st place in the 1 Mile swim in 1922. Medal features a life ring and two crossed laurel branches superimposed by an enamel shield (N.S.W.'s) with a white background and red cross. Shield at top of medal below loop attachment. Text in legend reads "N.S.W. AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION". Reverse inscription reads "1 Mile C'ship / F. BEAUREPAIRE / 1st / Time 23 49 2/5 / 20.3.22.".
