Brief Description
Medal won by Frank Beaurepaire for 1st place in the One Mile swim at the V.A.S.A. competition in 1927-28. Medal is sterling silver and bears a blue enamelled shield with the Southern Cross. It is surmounted by a crown and surrounded by a laurel wreath. Text in legend reads "VICTORIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION". Reverse features wreath framing text that reads "AWARDED / TO" followed by [engraved] "F. BEAUREPAIRE / 1ST / ONE MILE / 1927-8".
