Brief Description
Silver medal with red, white and blue ribbon won by Frank Beaurepaire in a long distance swimming race at the A.A.U.U.S. Competition in 1924. Obverse features female figure above a disc holding a laurel wreath. Text in legend reads "AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION OF THE UNITED STATES MDCCCLXXXVIII". Reverse features wreath and sporting equipment framing inscription that reads "LONG DISTANCE SWIM / 1924.". Text in legend reads "CHAMPION". Silver support bar attached to ribbon reads "CHAMPIONSHIP".
