Brief Description
A medal awarded to L.T. Harley for services to lifesaving. The medal features silver crossed oars and tied rope over a blue enamelled background, a white enamelled circlet with silver lettering that reads 'ROYAL LIFE SAVING/ SOCIETY', green enamelled wreath and scroll bearing text 'FOR SERVICES RENDERED'. The reverse reads 'AWARDED TO/ L.T. HARLEY/ 1963/ FOR/ SERVICES RENDERED/ TO THE/ ROYAL LIFE SAVING/ SOCIETY'. The medal is suspended from a pale blue, royal blue and white striped ribbed-silk ribbon, green enamelled award suspension panel with silver lettering - 'R.L.S.S.'- and fixing pin.
