Brief Description
British Empire and Commonwealth Games gold medal, and chain with flower-shaped links. The medal features the emblem of the BE & CG, a royal crown and rectangular-link chain, the date '1962' and lettering that reads, "VII BRITISH EMPIRE / AND / COMMONWEALTH / GAMES / PERTH / WESTERN AUSTRALIA". The reverse displays a coat-of-arms, kangaroo-paw sprays and wreath. It is not engraved. This medal was a spare victory medal, and was not awarded.
