Brief Description
Gold medal won by Lily Beaurepaire for third place in a 440 yards swim in Melbourne on 11 February, 1918. Obverse features a scene of two figures swimming framed by an ornate border with fish and floral details. Text in legend reads "THE AUSTRALIAN LADIES AMATEUR SWIMMING / CHAMPIONSHIP". Reverse inscription reads "440 yds / Champ. of Aust. / Melb. Feb. 11'18. / 3rd / MISS L DE. BEAUREPAIRE / Time 7-15". Loop attachment at top.
