Brief Description
Gold medal won by Lily Beaurepaire for 1st place in the 440 Yards Swim at the V.L.A.S.A. competition on 18th January, 1919. Medal shaped like a life belt bound with ropes enclosing an enamel blue crown and white shield. Blue scroll along lower edge reads "CHAMPIONSHIP". Inscription around belt reads "V.L.A.S.A. 440 YDS CHAMPIONSHIP". Loop attachment at top. Reverse inscription reads "1ST / WON BY / MISS L. DE BEAUREPAIRE / TIME 7'20' / 18/1/19".
