Brief Description
Gold medal won by Lily Beaurepaire for 1st place in the 440 Yards swim at the V.L.A.S.A. competition on 27th April, 1918. Medal shaped like a life belt bound with ropes enclosing an enamel blue crown and white shield. Blue scroll along lower edge reads "CHAMPIONSHIP". Inscription around belt reads "440 YARDS CHAMPIONSHIP OF VICTORIA / 27.4.18.". Loop attachment at top. Reverse inscription reads "1ST / MISS L. DE BEAUREPAIRE / TIME 7.25 2/5".
