Brief Description
Gold medal won by Lily Beaurepaire for 1st place in the 100 Yards swim at the V.L.A.S.A. competition on 10th March, 1917. Medal shaped like a life belt bound with ropes enclosing an enamel blue crown and white shield. Blue scroll along lower edge reads "CHAMPIONSHIP". Inscription around belt reads "10/3/17 / V.L.A.S.A.". Loop attachment at top. Reverse inscription reads "100 YDS CHAMPIONSHIP OF VICTORIA. / Time / 1-20 / Won by Miss L. DE BEAUREPAIRE.".
