Brief Description
Gold medal won by Lily Beaurepaire for 1st place in the 220 Yards swim at the V.L.A.S.A. competition on 13th January, 1917. Medal shaped like a life belt bound with ropes enclosing an enamel blue crown and white shield. Blue scroll along lower edge reads "CHAMPIONSHIP". Inscription around belt reads "13/1/17 / V.L.A.S.A.". Loop attachment at top. Reverse inscription reads "220 YDS CHAMPIONSHIP, VICTORIA. / Time / 3min 18sec / Won by Miss L. DE BEAUREPAIRE.".
