Brief Description
Gold medal won by Lily Beaurepaire for 1st place in the 50 Yards swim at the V.L.A.S.A. competition on 10th February, 1912. Medal shaped like a life belt bound with ropes enclosing an enamel blue crown and white shield. Blue scroll along lower edge reads "CHAMPIONSHIP". Inscription around belt reads "V.L.A.S.A. / 50 YDS". Loop attachment at top. Reverse inscription reads "Won by L. BEAUREPAIRE / 10-2-12 / BRIGHTON / 35 sec".
