Brief Description
Letter, single page; written on 6 August 1946 to Donald Mackintosh by Harry Lauder: "My dear old Friend Donal' / Just came on an old letter from you / so here is a wee note to hope you / are going strong, I had a wee / letter the other day from Our old Frean / Peter. M. Dewar he was speaking of you / reminding how he & you went out for a / shooting, yes he was a fair shot, but I / reminded Peter you were one of the worlds / big shots. Poor Peter unfortunately had / both his legs amputated, he and I keep / in touch with each other all the time / he is my great friend whom I try to cheer / up, which I believe I do cheer Him. / I hope if you are yet to the fare will / Gie me a wee note as He always talks / about you. His {sic} a Great Good soul - / ... / My love to you. / Harry Lauder". Handwritten, grey paper.
