Letter, single page; written on 14 January 1946 to Donald Mackintosh by Harry Lauder: "Dear old Friend Donal' / I am happy always to have a / letter from you it takes me back / to the cold mornings when we / started for a day's shoot among the / Hares. I have been comming {sic} in close / contact wi {sic} Australian troops, / a very delightful lot of Lads, / "Great Fellows", we here in Scotland / thank God the war is Fadeing {sic} away, / I thank you for your P.C. I trust you / are in Good Health, I have nothing / to Grumple about I am out every / week all over the Country raiseing {sic} / Funds for everything in need, / I trust & live in Hope I may be able / to take an other worlds tour just to / shake your hand for Auld Land Syne. / dear Donal' Good Night / & Joy be wi ye always. / Harry Lauder".
