Brief Description
Letter, small, single page, both sides; written on 23 January 1930 to Donald Mackintosh by Rudyard Kipling (excerpt): "Dear Mr Mackintosh: // That is a real beauty / of a paper-knife which has / just come in from you - sharp / and narrow. Most of them are / far too long and too blunt / for the job. I am most / grateful and I wish you had / initialled it." Handwritten, buff paper , "BATEMAN'S / BURWASH SUSSEX" letterhead. Accompanying envelope is 1987.1695.17.
